To promote our city's colours loud and clear, the Rouen Seine Normande 2028 teams travelled to Brussels on two occasions to discuss key aspects of our bid. The discussions were rich and exciting, and the feedback was very positive!
Youth & Europe meeting – Brussels – 15 & 16 November
A delegation from Rouen was present in Belgium, along with a number of Normandy partners working on European and international mobility for young people in Normandy.
CREAN organised the trip with the support of DRAJES Normandie (Délégation régionale académique à la jeunesse, l’engagement et aux sports) and the Normandy office in Brussels. It was part of the follow-up to the Normandy and European Parliament, “Giving young people the chance to build their region and Europe”, a regional event organised as part of the European Year of Youth 2022. We met the French Permanent Representation in Brussels and two members of the European Parliament.
It was a great opportunity to discuss European measures for young people and the realities of the Normandy region, and a number of joint projects were envisaged.
Our bid in Brussels – 1 December
A delegation from the Rouen Seine Normande 2028 bid was in Brussels on 1 December. It was an opportunity to present our second bid and show the determination of our entire region to win the label on Wednesday 13 December!
