The Rouen Seine Normande 2028 team presented the European Capital of Culture project to those working in the realm of culture.
Over the course of four meetings between November 21 and 25, more than two hundred culture professionals from Seine Normande attended a presentation on the Rouen Seine Normande 2028 project.
These meetings – hosted at La Cidredrie in Beuzeville, the Axès coworking space in Le Havre, Le Moulin in Louviers and Le Théâtre de la Foudre in Petit-Quevilly – provided an opportunity to review the key phases of the bid process and the extensive dialogue conducted over the past few years.
Most importantly, it was a time to preview the key themes of the artistic project that will be unveiled to the public once it is presented to the European jury in late February 2023.
Those working in the realm of culture had a chance to talk with Philippe Kauffmann, the bid’s Artistic Advisor, and the rest of the Rouen Seine Normande 2028 team to discuss the next steps for the bid.
The European Capital of Culture bidbook will be submitted by January 2 and defended orally before the jury in late February.
Once the Rouen Seine Normande 2028 bid has been selected, along with those of a few other French cities, we will have a few months to flesh out the bidbook and definitively convince the jury responsible for choosing the European Capital of Culture 2028.
