In 2023, the key year of the bid, Rouen Seine Normande 2028 is launching ten prototypes that prefigure the trajectory towards the European Capital of Culture year.
Prototypes to test methods, typologies of collaborations, mobilization techniques and concepts presented in the application file.
“The second phase of the application will end in December 2023 with the designation of the European Capital of Culture 2028 in France. Until then, we must demonstrate to the jury our ability to carry out the projects we defend, explains Rebecca Armstrong, General Delegate of Rouen Seine Normande 2028. We have chosen to carry out prototypes that are as many opportunities to test our ways of conceiving collaborations around the project. A large part of these prototypes focus on questions of participation and mobilization: they make it possible to question the place of the inhabitants in the project.”
Rouen Seine Normande 2028 brings together cultural actors, local authorities, the population and companies around inspiring projects for the candidacy.
Meeting of young Europeans to work on advocacy, collaboration of 70 graffiti artists to create a monumental fresco, residencies of European authors in the park of an abbey, programming orchestrated by young artists, adventure playground entirely built by children…
